Things to know about the neuropsychological assessment

Neuropsychological assessments are meant to investigate any changes in memory, attention and thinking that can occur as a result of brain injury or illness. It consists of and interview about the client's concerns and a variety of tests, including puzzles, paper and pencil tasks and tests of memory, attention, etc. It is a long assessment and tends to take approximately five hours.

We generally start the assessment at 10am and continue to 3pm, with a break for lunch. There are a variety of food options near the practice, or you can bring your own lunch. There are also short breaks approximately every hour to minimise tiredness.

Please bring your glasses and a hearing aids if you use them.

Using any illicit substances or significant amounts of alcohol 24 hours before the assessment is not a good idea as the results may not be valid. Prescription medication is fine.

The City rooms are within short distance to public transport and there are several paid parking lots in the neighborhood. There is a 15 minutes' standing zone in front of the building in case you need to be dropped off.
